Administrative Formalities (Tourism/Short Stays)

 

 

Passport

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the end date of your stay. It must contain at least two facing blank pages to allow for the visa to be affixed.

 

Tourist Visa

For most nationalities, the visa is issued on arrival by the Air and Border Police at Nosy Be airport.

 

For information purposes (10/03/2026):

 

– €30 (USD 35) for a stay of up to 15 days
– €35 (USD 41) for a stay of 16 to 30 days
– €40 (USD 47) for a stay of 31 to 60 days
– €50 (USD 59) for a stay of 61 to 90 days

 

Payment is due on arrival.

 

It is recommended to carry a copy of your return ticket and the address of your accommodation, as you may be asked to provide the name of your hotel.

Health
 

No vaccinations are required for a tourist visit to Madagascar, except for the yellow fever vaccine if you are travelling from a high-risk area.

 

It is strongly recommended to have travel insurance covering medical expenses and repatriation.
